April 14, 2025 at 11:10 pmDefinitely regrets, not worth at all, rude staffs, lots of fly while having meals, unfriendly staffs environment and attitudes, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL, there’s a lot of better places in Kuantan other than this AnaBakar Petai, conclusions – wasted of penny, wasted of time, n the worst situations were the unfriendly restaurants staffs attitudes

2 weeks agoThe grilled fish with petai was tasty, but unfortunately it arrived last, much later than the other dishes. We had to pack it and eat at the hotel because of the delay. The tom yum was just okay, the omelette was too oily, and the spoon provided was quite dirty. The most disappointing part was the service at the counter. When we arrived, there was no greeting or smile — the cashier just said “129” bluntly. When we asked for a receipt, she looked annoyed and just threw it at us. Even when we said thank you, she didn’t respond at all. We came all the way from KL, but being treated this way was really disappointing. Probably won’t come back if the service stays like this.

a week agoAlthough we had problems with our orders (they came ridiculously late), the food was excellent. Ikan bakar and steam, sotong goreng salted egg, kailan ikan masin and sata were all very tasty.

2 months agoGood experience for grilled fish right next to our hotel. The seafood is very fresh. But the spices used on the grilled fish is too overwhelming with too little petai. First time experience eating the petai with the skin on it!

a month agoWe ordered the grilled pari bakar and WOW. Perfectly charred, super tender, and generously slathered with sambal. The best part? A mountain of petai on top! Petai lovers, rejoice, they don't skimp here. The tom yum? Spicy, tangy, and bursting with flavour And don't get me started on the sotong celup tepung. crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned to perfection. It stayed crunchy even after all the chit-chat and photo sessions! fast service and a lively crowd.

2 months agoNo one assist to reserve table, we have to round the restaurant for about 5 times before getting seat. Then have to queue to reserve fish, and waited super longggg time to get all food. We arrive at 8.15pm, and get all food at 11.10pm!!! We have to call to remind our order many times. And they wrongly give our order , we order Sotong Petai and get Sotong Pedas. Very not worth it. Mail Ikan Bakar or Parameswara or Umbai have much better service.
