2 weeks agoWhen I visited Penyu Gergasi at Pantai Tanjung Pelindung in Kuantan, I was honestly stunned—it was so much bigger than I expected. The mural looks almost alive, blending so well with the rocks that for a moment you’d think a real giant turtle had washed up on the beach. It’s an incredible piece of art, and seeing it in person is way more impressive than in photos. The whole area has such a relaxing vibe. There are lots of rocks to climb onto where you can just sit, chill, and enjoy the sea breeze while listening to the sound of waves crashing in. The scenery is really beautiful, especially if you’re into photography—the mural itself is obviously a great backdrop, but the coastline and views around it make for stunning pictures too. What I liked most was the atmosphere. The sand here is fine and soft, the water looks clean, and the winds are cooling, so it feels like a perfect spot to just unwind for a while. There are also some small food stalls around, which adds to the experience—you can grab a snack or a drink and spend more time soaking in the surroundings. Overall, Penyu Gergasi isn’t just a mural—it’s a whole vibe. The combination of impressive art, natural scenery, and a chill seaside atmosphere makes it a great place to visit, whether you just want to relax, take photos, or enjoy a peaceful moment by the ocean.

a month agoThis white sandy beach hide a gigantic turtle! I believe this place isn’t officially open as there’s no amenities provided by local city council. There’s few stall before heading up to the turtle. Visitors can also sit on the rocks or drifted log by the beach. Mind you, there’s few shaded area-or get ready to burn the skin to crisp during sunny day.

2 weeks agoDon't use the left to pantai lane as it will lead to wrong destination, should go left to the task direction and park at road side, else your vehicle will sink in sand area....the rubbish is along the beach, shame on people camping there and not clean up after use. No public facilities like toilets and also only few stalls sell drinks. Nothing much to see ...

5 months agoWe reach around 5.25pm, no sunset today, but the sand when we walk in were very soft and thick, it was very difficult to walk on it. The beach was very wide with beautiful stones and waves ! The giant Stone turtle is very big ! You will enjoy walking along the beach and the fresh air here.

a month agoNice wind up there, beaches and rocks with sea turtle painting artwork... Is beautiful and good for picnic places, bring your goods but there are no shower places and toilets ... Unless you have to walk a bit of distance to nearby park, then you can get toilet and café.
