Swiss-Bell Hotel Kuantan

I had a pleasant stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan. The room was clean and comfortable, although some parts of the ceiling looked a bit yellowish. Breakfast didn’t have too many choices, but I really liked the egg station. As someone from Terengganu, I think the nasi for nasi dagang could be improved, but the gulai ikan was delicious! I also ordered in-room dining for two days, and all the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The sambal belacan wasn’t spicy, but it had a really nice flavour. The location is excellent, close to many seafood restaurants and right near the city centre. Parking can be quite limited, but the staff, from reception to the café team and even the parking guards, were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a nice experience and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

The room is very spacious and very clean (except the worn silicone in the bathroom - which is very common in hotels...). Me and my family loved it so much. Breakfast is decent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay. Disliked - The towels are grayish colour not very pleasant, but clean, nonetheless. There's practically no dry beach outside the hotel, the tide brings the water almost right up to the hotel. But could be an interesting walk during low tide though.

We had a pleasant stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan. The staff were excellent—special thanks to Mr. Erfan at reception who was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, well-stocked, and offered great local options (I tried Gulai Ikan Terengganu for the first time—so tasty, no strong smell, and not too spicy). The only unusual part was our Deluxe Ocean View room location. Instead of a hotel corridor, the access was through the parking area with a designated parking spot. At first, it felt a bit odd and less secure, but the reception assured us of 24/7 CCTV and security. Overall, the room was super clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful ocean view. A nice and unique experience! 🌊✨

The check-in process was smooth and very accommodating, thanks to Arif. However, the room cleanliness was disappointing — my wife unfortunately stepped on a piece of glass and was injured. To their credit, the front desk responded quickly by providing a first aid kit and arranging for the room to be cleaned. Areas for Improvement: Separate the switches for the air conditioning and fan; when both run together, the room feels warmer instead of cooler. Replace the air conditioning console, as the display is very dim. Improve staff training during breakfast service. Staff were not attentive, and I had to repeatedly ask for water refills, replenishment of food, honey, coffee machine, and even for the tables to be cleaned. This is during non holiday season mind you. Modify the café door to open both ways. Most guests carry plates with both hands, and the door (slightly rusty on the hinges) is difficult to push open. Provide shade at the egg station — the chef looked uncomfortable working under direct sun. Upgrade window tinting to reduce UV and heat inside the room. Improve lift efficiency. Currently, it seems only one lift operates at a time, and it stops at every floor, causing long waits and crowding. Positives: The food was tasty and enjoyable, especially the cheese platter. The bed was large, comfortable, and provided a good night’s rest (I booked a super single).

Good quality and big size room, provide all toiletries as same as 5stars hotel even just 4 stars. Just a bit noisy (soundproof is just so so, hence when other guests walk around and talk along lobby outside of room, we can hear). We really enjoyed the time here, especially we had a good sleep here
