a month agoWhat we like about the hotel is it is next to a beach. It offers nice landscaping. Bed is comfortable and clean. Water pressure is good. Service is great 👍🏼 Breakfast is at Mama Knows Cafe which is adjacent to the hotel. We were offered 3 options which we think is quite good. Coffee and tea are free flow. We got to enjoy breakfast with a view which is a plus. Food was served very quickly We are happy with our stay and will come again.

2 months agoGreat Setting, but Service Falls Short Villa de Fedelia boasts a lovely ambiance—lush surroundings, peaceful vibes, and the soothing sounds of the nearby beach all help set the scene for a relaxing getaway. It’s a place that certainly looks like a relaxing weekend retreat. However, beneath that charm lie several areas that need real attention, especially customer service, both at the villa and surrounding eateries. The hospitality felt indifferent at best, with staff interactions often coming off as inattentive or rushed, which really detracted from the overall experience. It’s clear that better training and a stronger service culture would go a long way here. Issues with the accommodations compounded the frustration—worn-out bedding, visible bed bugs, and sluggish water pressure made comfort hard to come by. Meanwhile, severe beach erosion right in front of the rooms dimmed the appeal of the seaside location. Dining options nearby didn’t offer much relief either. Places like The Ranting Bar don’t open until after 6 PM, leaving early diners with slim choices, not to mention the unwelcome customer experience. Mama Knows cafe, which is adjacent to the Villa operates on an inconsistent schedule, which proved inconvenient. For a beach destination that sees all-day foot traffic, the lack of accessible dining at various hours is a missed opportunity. The beachfront outlet especially should consider staying open throughout the day to better serve guests. Villa de Fedelia could be a standout stay with just a few thoughtful improvements, starting with a serious commitment to better service. Until then, it’s more style than substance.

3 months agoVilla De Fedelia offers a beautiful stay with lovely views and a peaceful environment perfect for a relaxing getaway. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The bathroom cleanliness wasn’t up to standard, and the water pressure was too low, making it difficult to shower properly. Room maintenance also needs attention, some of the furniture was old, and the wall had noticeable moisture. It would also be great if curtains were added, as the morning sun shines directly into the room, making it hard to sleep in. But overall we had a good stay.

a month agoBeautiful views but horrendous room condition. A sea side room seems cool and exclusive at first and the view from this place is splendid. Perhaps a bit of erosion start to creep but generally the walkway is well taken care of and the design of all rooms and reception place are all beautiful and has that classic wooden traditional touch to it. But… a massive but; 1. Our room’s AC 1hp was underpowered or it was not blowing air with enough power, with it not being able to cool down the room at all even at night. There is a small spinning fan ceiling mounted that gives us a swift of breeze every 10 seconds rotation. 2. Toilet smelled bad and full of sand. (Yea sure it’s next to the beach, but didnt we also pay for the cleaning fee?) The exhaust fan can perhaps be serviced and all this can be prevented. 3. Water… water is slow, there is a pump outside but according to the admin, it sometimes turns on and off on its own. And my wife and I had to shower outside (yep no privacy at all) when there are people passing by at the walkway. The water heater doesn’t seem to be on, but it gets the water hot.. just not enough water coming out of it… so that pump is also not functioning, and turns out they turn off every evening before all staffs go back. The front counter said they had water burst, but reviews said otherwise, cuz it’s been happening for more than a year. To me, all this is bunch of excuses. I suggest build a water tank tower that is sufficient for 12 units of rooms to use constantly. I don’t know what to say. It is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. With a heavy price tag, it makes you wonder why can’t they improve the service and it seems that we were not the first ones to experience this from reading the reviews. Too bad, we didn’t read it first before booking….

2 months agoWe visited this villa to explore it as a potential place to stay. Upon arrival at the reception, we were greeted by a very kind Indian male staff member who provided helpful information about the villa in response to my husband's questions. He also informed us that the villa was fully booked for the day, which we understood. My husband then asked if we could just have a quick look around, and the staff member kindly allowed us to view the lobby area only, explaining that we were not allowed to go to the back area. That was completely fine with us. While I briefly used the restroom at the lobby, my husband casually asked another staff member about the villas. Unfortunately, a female Indian staff member (possibly a supervisor/manager) abruptly scolded the staff for giving an answer, saying she shouldn’t be providing such information to outsiders. She even scolded my husband for asking the question to the staff, which we found unnecessary and quite unprofessional. He was left speechless. From our perspective, both my husband and the staff member were simply engaging in a harmless and polite conversation. We were quite disappointed by the way the situation was handled and felt uncomfortable witnessing the reprimand. That kind of encounter leaves a bad impression on the place as a whole, especially when it comes from someone in a supervisory role. Regardless of whether she's the manager or the owner, the action is simply unacceptable. It took away from the warm first impression we had upon arrival. Interestingly, after the incident, we came across several online reviews mentioning similar encounters. While we understand the need for rules and protocols, we hope this feedback can serve as a gentle reminder of how important it is to maintain a welcoming atmosphere—especially from those in leadership positions. That said, we truly appreciate the initial warm welcome and hope this feedback will be taken constructively. The villa is beautiful, and we believe that with consistently kind and professional service across all staff, it can continue to grow its reputation and leave a lasting positive impression on every guest.
